red and white

What do you do, when high piles of red and white pieces of fabric, blocking your view on your sewingtable?? You make a quilt!

an old white sheet for the stripes
an old tablecloth for the back.

    Absolutely gorgeous! Red and white is so fun and cheerful together and your fabrics are perfect. And what a great use for an old tablecloth.

    Do you ever have problems with the red in fabrics bleeding into the white? I worry about that but maybe it's not a problem these days.

    I have only recently found your wonderful blog and I love it all ! Lovely quilts in glorious colours- where do you find such great fabrics? I think we are starved for them here in England. The "whats in the box" slot is good too, it appeals to our innate nosiness. I've always been a Dutchophile (can that be the right word? but you know what I mean, a fan ) Your blog is a real treat and will have to substitute until I save up for that trip to Amsterdam.

    Tja, ik heb ook een hele stapel rood/witte lapjes voor m'n neus, maar een quilt.... dat zal het niet worden vrees ik, al zou ik het wel héél graag willen! Maar daar heb ik toch te weinig geduld voor denk ik en volgens mij ben ik niet precies genoeg, dus dan wordt alles weer schots en scheef.
    Nou ja, dan geniet ik maar van jouw quilts, vooral deze is helemaal mijn ding!

    Thank you so much for posting this beautiful quilt. I was looking for inspiration for a red and white challenge quilt that will be given away during our quilt show this year and this one is perfect! Our challenge fabric is one of two red and whites. I bought both and have more red and whites to add from my stash. I hope mine turns out as pretty as yours. Thanks!
