OPAM 2010

It's still cold outside. Even calico cat found himself a pleasant warm place in front of the central heating.

stay warm

I'm up in my attic dug around for unfinished projects.
I joined "OPAM 2010", The one project a month challenge 2010.

This will be my change to get some things finished.
My problem, you see, when I'm  in the middle of a project
I start something completely new!

So, here is a glimpse of  a tabble runner or mini quilt (not sure yet) I started here.
This will be my Januari challenge!

  1. Corry, I think it’s a problem we are all dealing with! Starting something new when you want to finish other projects...

    Calico cat is lovable!

  2. Good luck with your challenge. I've just joined a group challenge to do 20mins of crafting every day and will be blogging about it soon. It's good to have challenges because it encourages us to try harder :-)

  3. corry, I love embroidery...did you embroidery the middle square or was it from something else? I like it and can't wait to see what you create with it. Happy sewing!

  8. Oh you sound a lot like me! Thats why I decided back in July that I was going to get all the quilts that I had started done. And I have so enjoyed the finish quilts. I have now finished four and almost five. Now I still have two that I started and two that I have all the fabric for. So I must push myself to the finish line! But that's not counting all the knitting, weaving, and spinning that still needs to get done!

  17. I too have loads of unfinished projects. OPAM sounds like a good idea. I already have one project with a deadline for Jan/Feb that I have not even started yet- a small (tabletop or wallhanging) quilt for a charity auction. (It's for a group that builds schools for children in Africa.)
Your table-runner/mini-quilt looks gorgeous already! You do such beautiful work.

I saw the OPAM thing on Heleen's blog and I joined as well. We'll see how I do. :)

  27. I love the start of a new project. Choosing the fabric, cutting out and sewing to see how it's going together, changing things to make it my own. I'm not so excited for the finishing up--sandwiching (love the quilting and binding part). I just need to get past the sandwich part. lol Love the kitty!

  28. Such a cute kitty! Love its eyes! I have those unfinished projects. Yep, can't remember where they are though... If I can't find them, I can't finish them!
