it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Things are a little busy here at dutch blue's place. But never the less..we still decided
last Saterday to get out the Christmas decorations and give the house a Christmas makeover.
First the tree...and as you can see...i love color!!

I believe December is the most busy month of the year. But it is also by far the most cosiest.
I love to lit the candles in the evening and the smell of the Christmas tree.
I love to do some handsewing projects while listening to Christmas music.

The red/ orange quilt is done.
I used a charmpack "recess" from moda for the nine triangles blocks.

red/ orange mini quilt.

On my quilt hoop now....Dutch folklore.

Happy stitching
Enjoy your day!

Love your cheerful and colorful Christmas tree. I too think this is the coziest month of the year. We enjoy a warm fire and the glow of our Christmas tree. I am going to set up my village tonight finally as tomorrow is my quilt group's Christmas party. I treasure my village as my mother and sister made it for me. Since my sister passed away, it is all the more special to put it out each year.

Hugs ~

*sigh* Your post is so bright, happy and christmas-y! I love your decorations, and the quilt too! I wish I knew what your christmas music sounds like...

May I ask how you mark your quilt before you quilt it? Every time I see hand quilting I think I should try it. I took a class a while ago, but forgot all I learned...

You and me both love our color! I'm so envious of you quilting. I loved to sit in the evenings with the tv on in the background and quilt away. Darned arthritis! Oh, but I so enjoy seeing you working on them. Looks like the same size quilting hoop I used. The dogs use to scramble underneath to sleep. These are gorgeous quilts! And what a lovely tree too!

Corry - Santa must've dumped old Mrs. Claus for a younger woman!!! Or else having a mid-life crisis and having a fling!

What a lovely post. So cozy and Christmasy. I adore that you hand-quilt. I do too. It's becoming quite rare, don't you think? And the quilt is beautiful with all that blueness!!!!
