this and that

Is it really December already?? I can't believe how fast this year has flown by. This is also the last page of my 'Lot van den Akker' calender. Next year I'll come with a new calender and new pages.

December

I had a small leftover block from the red and white quilt and turned it into a pincushion.
I think by now I have more pincushions than pins!
Notice the two vintage fabrics, aren't they lovely?

pincushion and vintage fabric

A few weeks back I told you about a small renovation going on here.
Well, the plaster and ceiling are done.
Now all we have to do is paint the walls and do the floor.
(And do the laundry!! )  To be continued ...

we're getting there

And before I go ending this post I happily put some flowers on the table.
Specially for you,  hope you love roses!

Thanks for all the nice feedback about my angel pattern.

Speldenkussen is echt geweldig! En nouja beter teveel speldenkussens dan geen!

Glad to see your building work is going well. Bet you will be very glad to get it all finished. Love your pin cushion. I just might have to make one...mine were just thrown together from plain fabric and one like yours would look rather better in my workroom. Unlike you I have lots more pins than pincushions :-)

Corry, love the roses, but you can keep them if I could have the teapot, grin. Is it so beautiful, and would fit so nice in with my collection of teapots, grin. BarbM

Love your floral teapot. So very pretty. The pincusion is so cute. Without pins in it, it would look just like a fluffy pillow!

Pincushions are just too much fun...and I don't even use them! I have a little box for my pins. But I have some sitting around all the same...looking useful.

I just love that little pot!

The angle in the previous post is cute. Are you getting a new laundry room? If so it looks like it's going to be nice and spacious.
