building an ark

The titel sounds like a lot of heavy work is going on around here!
Well, not yet... I don't hear any hammering and sawing at this very moment but....there is a slight possibility that this can change real soon!! That is if I can convince DH how much fun it is to make this arc and its animals!
I saw it in this book; and I love it.

And now a little update on the other arc!
As I told you in March, I joined the stitch-along Noah's Ark BOM from Lynette anderson designs.
The first month "two rabbits" is finished. Please keep in mind this was my first stitchery attempt.

I'm still working on month 2 "the dove".
Month 3 "rainbow and cows" and month 4 "the kangaroos" are waiting patiently to be next.

I'm in no hurry, its a pleassant little work to do in between and its lovely to see it grow.
I'll keep you posted, till next time!

Wonderful stitching! You have chosen some tiny designs to start with - they will test your eyes out. I have been tempted to do these little stitcheries myself & seeing yours may just be the inspiration I need!

I have the dove and rabbits finished too!!

It looks like you have been stitching for years! I adore this stitch-a-long. These animals are so cute. I am still on the rabbit one. I was silly and am using a harder stitch for the rabbits so it is taking me longer. I should have just done the backstitch like you. I enjoy reading about your adventures and look forward to many more. Love Stacy

Love the wooden Noah's Ark! Do you do woodwork yourself or will your DH help you? What a fun thing to make. I am stitching the Noah's Ark blocks too. I just got caught up and posted them on NeedleNecessities if you want to see them. They are great fun to do aren't they?!

Hugs en groetjes ~
Heidi

So glad to see that you are doing Lynette's BOM. I am too!! It was also my 1st attempt at stitchery and I am loving it. Yours is absolutely beautiful. I am now doing my cows then onto the kangaroos. It is so much more fun building an ark this way!

Your stitching is beautiful and these are so cute to do...I am working on them, too. I love your idea of making a wooden Noah's Ark. Maybe we could start a wood-working challenge?!
