Most off you sugested hand quilting for this quilt and I totally agree, that would look best. But as you can see I started quilting with the machine. Reason??...just wanted immediately result!
Well, fast it goes... although I'm not so happy with the open spaces.
There's an idea in my head how to fill those spaces up, so probably there will be some working by hand after all!
Another new project I can hardly wait to start are these pillowcases.
I found them at one of my favorite shops the HEMA.
They are 50 cm square and made from 100% cotton. The woven threads are easy to count so perfect for doing cross-stitch on. They also sell these cases in red. That would be a lovely color for Christmas combining with white thread.
And finally a picture of Noah's ark free Bom, I love doing these little stitcheries.
I've a few more strips to sew on, so see you later!

Both of those projects are looking great!
What a beautiful quilt - and the double stitching really sets it off well. Your stitcheries are looking wonderful as well.
ooo.. I love coming across people doing those noah's ark stitcheries. Each one is different from the last. I LOVE yours in the plaid frames!
And yes.. the machine stitching is very nice because it is all finished now, but I agree there should be something in the middle of the snowballs. Can't wait to see what you do. :-)
The quilting is great "although" it is done my machine.
Your Noah stitcheries are so sweet done in the plaids. I never thought of using plaids and I have loads of plaids that I could use. Of course, I have to start stitching my blocks first but I am spending too much time on the computer these days blogging instead of stitching!!
The plaid frames of your Noah’s Ark are great Corry!
What would we do without the HEMA!
Wow jij bent weer lekker bezig geweest.
Groetjes, M
I love how the quilting is coming out! Beautiful!! Your Noah's ark BOM is looking terrific. I have to catch up, I just finished my elephants!
your machine stitching is so perfect..how do you do that? love how you have framed your stitchery...so cute!
Your machine quilting is amazing. Have you considered echoing the shape of the four-pointed star? A snowflake would be great too but I'm sure that would be too much work.
I love how you always keep all your colors so crisp and clean in all your designs.
the machine stitching is just perfect Corry! I used to think "machine quilting" was a "bad thing" but now I see it has it advantages, even though in my humble opinion, nothing beats hand quilting.
Looks like I'll have to check out my local Hema! I can't wait to see what you do with the pillows!
I'm loving the animals of the Ark!
Your Noahs blocks look great, I too love the plaids you are using it really sets them off nicely.

Wat ongelooflijk netjes en precies ben jij met de naaimachine. En die noah' ark wordt prachtig
Your machine quilting looks fabulous, Corry! Won't it be wonderful to soon have this quilt finished - I'm anxious to see what stitchery you're going to add to it...
Love the Noah's ark stitcheries framed with plaids.
I rather like the clean plain hexagon without anything in the middle.
Hello! ^^ Lovely creations! I'm trying to finish up my own quilt. Originally I was planning to machine quilt but it ends up I don't have a quilting foot! (I'm new at quilting) And since the foot is so expensive I'm going hand quilting. I usually enjoy hand sewing but I've been at this quilt for so long I've gotten bored of it! I plod on! ^^
De stitcheries zijn enig en erg mooi gedaan, de stoffen eromheen zijn ook weer zó goed gekozen, een plezier om naar te kijken.
