Thursday already!

...Hard to believe, the week has just flown by. It's in the afternoon and its raining! I have to do urgent grocery shopping -i don't believe there isn't anything eatable left in the house- but I hate going out in this weather! As you can see I still have some Christmas decoration hanging in the window. I love this one, especially the little hearts and red figures. I bought them at Ikea, the tree with the stars at the end is from the triftshop.

Hearts...can't get enough of them!!

This is my first attempt on making project improv blocks. It's not so easy as it might look. I find it diffecult to think outside the box and improvise. I'm making the blocks in green/ blue and used the red polkadot for a bit of spicing up. Not sure if I will keep it this way, maybe the red is to much?

I'm off to the supermarket now and make sure this family can eat dinner tonight!

I vote to keep the red. It's the perfect center block. I'm totally with you on these blocks not being as easy as they look. You've done a lovely job;) As for the hearts, you have a great collection and I'd leave them up...Valentine's Day is just around the corner;)

Lavendel is rustgevend. Groetjes!

I don't blame you for not wanting to venture out. There is alot of wind mixed with that rain today. I think your hearts are fine to keep out. After all, Valentine's Day is coming. I plan to put up my Valentine's tree tomorrow and put my winter tree away. I think the red looks great in the block. I would vote to leave it. You will find it becomes softened if you have the other colors all around it as the quilt grows.

Hugs en groetjes ~
Heidi

i love your heart pincushions.
i love your block as well. i like the red in it as it picks up the reds in the border fabric. it looks hard to do!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates going out in bad weather. You always have such cute stuff, don't you just love Ikea?

Red does contrast well with other colours, I think you have made the right choice. We have had no rain for three weeks so can I have some of yours and you can have our weather report for the next three days - over 40 c. Now that could be a new swap.
